The Story Behind Stirling
Stirling is a family name before it is a company name. Wendy chose our son’s first name, Karter, and John chose his middle name, Stirling—a connection to our Scottish roots and the courage represented by Stirling Bridge.
Karter was studying electrical engineering and had a deep interest in artificial intelligence. What mattered to him was how technology could help people. His empathy and desire to make a difference continue to shape our work.
We lost Karter in 2021, when he was 20. Afterward, John began exploring AI as a way to help friends, family, and small businesses. In the latter half of 2024, we founded Stirling Integrated Solutions in his honor.
Today, we carry that purpose into practical work: helping businesses get found, build trust, and respond to customers. People first. Technology in service of them.
OUR FOUNDERS
Meet John and Wendy
We’re John and Wendy Kirkwood, the founders of Stirling Integrated Solutions in Gilbert, Arizona. Our background in ministry and nonprofit leadership taught us to listen carefully, serve people, and follow through.
John’s experience in home inspection also brings a working understanding of small service businesses: answering inquiries between jobs, earning referrals, and protecting time with family.
We help business owners put useful technology to work through local visibility, customer reviews, and AI receptionists. We start with the problem you need to solve, explain the options, and agree on a practical scope.
